Oban CBT Clinic
Mental Health Mentoring provides support to students with mental health problems that impact upon their ability to study, usually at further education or higher education level, be it at a local institution or by distance learning. Input is practical and tailored to individuals’ needs, offering a range of coping strategies and study skills to help students maximise their potential and fulfil their goals. This service offers specialist one-to-one support that aims to increase understanding about your mental health, promote self-management skills, and provide a practical study skills framework. It is a coaching and mentoring model that utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions, rather than a specific treatment for mental illness; you are advised to seek medical assessment and/or treatment in the first instance if your symptoms are significantly impacting upon your well-being. Please contact your GP if your mental health significantly deteriorates. To discuss your needs, funding options, and how this service might help you, please contact us to arrange a free initial consultation by telephone.
